Hughes Woodcarving was formed in 1983 by by Master Carver Emyr Hughes accompanied by son Dafydd, and based in Gloucester.

Brân Woodcarving is now run by Dafydd from his workshop based in Aberavon, Port Talbot.

Both Emyr and Dafydd are proud to keep alive the traditional art of woodcarving, using a wide range of ancient and modern techniques, styles and materials. A range of services are offered to clients, with projects of all sizes considered:

Sustainability and Environmental Considerations

The Hughes' endeavour to source wood locally, and to the best of their ability, use reclaimed wood from the floor joists of old houses, from churches and from dismantled barns, as it is important not to destroy remaining wooded areas and natural habitats.
